In the shadowy corners of Sanctuary, massive creatures known as realmwalkers have emerged, each bearing ominous portals with blood-red eyes on their backs. Initially dismissed as mere folklore—a spooky story to frighten travelers—these colossal beings have become a terrifying reality, born from Mephisto's malice.

Realmwalkers possess the ability to unleash chaos across vast areas, generating nightmares fueled by their hatred. Under the influence of Mephisto, a realmwalker will materialize in a specific region. Once it has gathered enough power, it will begin to roam, seeking out sacred ground. During this phase, the realmwalker is impervious to damage, but fierce guardians, known as bloodbound protectors, will rush to its aid. To weaken the realmwalker, players must eliminate these guardians.

Upon reaching a ritual site, the realmwalker will violently strike the ground, spawning three hatred spires around it. It’s crucial to dismantle these spires swiftly to make the realmwalker vulnerable before it gathers excessive power.

Once you've taken down the hatred spires, you can finish off the formidable foe. Defeating the realmwalker will not only grant you glory but also unlock the portal it leaves behind, leading to further challenges.

Across the continent of Estuar, which houses the five regions of Diablo IV’s core game, a realmwalker will materialize in a different location every 15 minutes. Additionally, every hour, a second realmwalker will appear in Nahantu, coinciding with one in Estuar.

The Tree of Whispers craves the power of these realmwalkers! The first realmwalker that spawns in Estuar each hour will be marked as a whisper, while every third hour, the one appearing in Nahantu will also be designated as a whisper.

A new challenge emerges from the remnants of a previous one: the seething realm awaits. With the realmwalker vanquished, a crimson portal lies before you, beckoning you to confront Mephisto's cunning scheme.

As you step into the dungeon, the atmosphere may seem calm, yet the sound of approaching footsteps hints at the dangers ahead.

Seething realms are teeming with adversaries to defeat and treasures to discover. Your mission is to forge a path through this chaotic dungeon to find the realm gate. Upon reaching it, you'll have the opportunity to exchange specific materials for rewards. Choose wisely the seething opal you wish to collect after conquering the seething realm dungeon.

These seething opals are a fresh type of elixir, granting a 15% boost to your experience and additional benefits for a duration of 30 minutes. There are five distinct seething opals available. Keep in mind that the seething opal of torment can only be earned if you are playing at torment difficulty I or higher. The material costs for selecting your rewards at the realm gate, along with their full effects, are outlined below:

  • Seething opal of equipment: 25 murmuring obols

  • Seething opal of materials: 5 murmuring obols

  • Seething opal of torment challenges: 200 sigil powder

  • Seething opal of gold: 1 iron chunk

  • Seething opal of socketables: 3 angelbreath

To obtain the seething opal of socketables , players must fulfill specific criteria.

First, you need to possess the vessel of hatred expansion .

Additionally, it's essential to engage in gameplay at the penitent difficulty level or higher .

This item can only be found within a Nahantu-based seething realm dungeon .

Following an unsuccessful quest to find Akarat’s tomb, the remaining Zakarum warriors regrouped in Hawezar, nursing their wounds. Without a clear purpose, they rummaged through their armory, searching for a way to utilize the surplus of gear they had. The emergence of realmwalkers, fueled by Mephisto’s hatred, has ignited a new sense of determination within the remnants, giving them a formidable target to pursue. They now call upon allies to help defend Sanctuary!

To embark on your journey, speak with Crusader Damond in Zarbinzet, Hawezar, to initiate the Creeping Hatred quest. Here, you will discover how to defeat realmwalkers and wield the arcane energies of the seething realms to gather valuable seething opals. You have the option to either complete the Legacy of the Horadrim quest from the main campaign or bypass it entirely to join Damond’s mission.

While it may not be Akarat’s tomb, the remnants have uncovered various components that will aid the fight against the Burning Hells. In exchange for your efforts in vanquishing realmwalkers, completing challenges in the seething realms, and battling monsters while under the influence of a seething opal effect, they will reward you with unique curios.

The system for earning Paragon points has undergone significant changes. From now on, Paragon points will be associated with the realm rather than individual characters. This means that all Paragon levels attained will be accessible to every character within the same realm—be it seasonal or eternal—and mode, whether standard or hardcore, within their respective divisions. To facilitate this transition, we have implemented numerous modifications to the leveling experience, stats, and monster difficulties, making values clearer and easier to grasp.

** Paragon and Character Level Changes **

The structure of Paragon and character levels has been redefined. Levels 1 through 60 will now represent character levels, allowing players to earn an extra 10 skill points and 10 additional levels, enhancing character customization options. Once you reach level 60, you’ll begin accruing Paragon levels, which can be used to unlock Paragon nodes.

For characters currently above level 50, all previously gained experience-based Paragon points will be converted into Paragon levels. To enrich the experience of progressing to max level and beyond, we are expanding the journey across both character level and Paragon levels. For instance:

Character Level Reset and Changes

If you have a character at level 100, prepare for a significant adjustment; your character's level will be reset to 50. Along with this change, the 200 paragon points you have accumulated will be transformed into paragon levels applicable across the realm.

For those with characters at level 50 or below, there will be no alterations to your current status.

At the conclusion of each season, the paragon experience gained during that season will be added to the paragon experience track for your characters in the eternal realm.

Furthermore, we've taken the time to reevaluate various stats, including health, armor, and core attributes, to enhance gameplay.

** Standard Difficulties **

http://c2c.fp.guinfra.com/file/67426693445030f8bf8600f1ccrwBVuT03

The recent changes have introduced a new system where world tiers are now referred to as difficulties, allowing players to tailor their gaming experience based on their preferred level of challenge and rewards.

There are four primary difficulties categorized as standard: - Normal - Hard - Expert - Penitent

These standard difficulty settings are designed to facilitate character development as players aim to reach the new cap of character level 60.

Normal mode is ideal for those seeking a more relaxed gaming experience, providing a gentle introduction.

For players who crave a greater challenge, Hard and Expert modes ramp up the intensity, demanding quicker pacing and strategic gameplay to overcome tougher obstacles.

However, Penitent mode is reserved for the bravest of souls. It presents formidable challenges and is intended for players ready to confront increased threats as they prepare to access the new torment difficulties.

As players progress to higher difficulty levels, both gold and experience rewards will also see an increase.

To unlock these difficulties:- Normal and Hard are readily available from the start.- Expert becomes accessible after finishing the prologue of Diablo IV.- Penitent is unlocked by completing the final quest of the base game's campaign, known as Legacy of the Horadrim , or by choosing to bypass the main storyline entirely.

** Prepare yourself for the depths: the torment difficulties await! **

Advancing through the new torment difficulties signifies the prowess of an experienced player—this is where true endgame content unfolds. Your journey through these torment levels is closely tied to your achievements in the pit. As you aim for higher tiers within the pit, you simultaneously unlock access to more challenging torment difficulties. The greater the torment level you conquer, the higher your chances of obtaining legendary and ancestral items. Here’s how to progress through the torment difficulties:

  • Attaining level 60 will grant you access to the pit and its tiers 1–20. Completing pit tier 20 will unlock torment tier I.

  • Progressing through pit tier 35 will unlock torment tier II.

  • Completing pit tier 50 will give you access to torment tier III.

  • Finishing pit tier 65 will unlock torment tier IV.

In addition to the already perilous environment of Sanctuary, the torment difficulties introduce a new element of risk: curses. When engaging in torment levels, your armor and resistances will be diminished as follows:

  • Torment I: -250 armor and -25% to all resistances

  • Torment II: -500 armor and -50% to all resistances

  • Torment III: -750 armor and -75% to all resistances

  • Torment IV: -1000 armor and -100% to all resistances

By diversifying these challenges, players now have greater flexibility in choosing how to navigate the risk-versus-reward dynamics of Diablo IV.

Moreover, monsters will no longer display their levels; instead, they will adjust according to the difficulty setting you are currently playing on.

** Masterworking Materials **

Moving forward, obducite will be the sole masterworking material. Both ingolith and neathiron have been phased out. Obducite will no longer be obtainable in the pit and will instead drop exclusively in nightmare dungeons, infernal hordes, and the undercity of the vessel of hatred. While ingolith and neathiron will still appear in your materials tab, they can be transmuted into obducite at the alchemist.

** Glyphs **

Glyphs have been reworked to align more seamlessly with recent changes:

  • The process of upgrading a glyph is no longer based on experience points. Instead, players earn attempts to enhance their glyph’s rank by completing tiers in the pit.

  • Successfully finishing the artificer’s mastery awards three attempts to upgrade your glyph’s rank, plus an additional attempt if you complete it without dying.

Glyph Upgrade and Changes

Upgrading your glyph is an essential aspect of enhancing your gameplay experience.

Each attempt to upgrade can be applied to any glyph that hasn't reached its maximum level yet. The likelihood of a successful upgrade hinges on both the glyph's current level and the tier of the pit you conquer. For instance, if you complete a pit tier that is 10 levels above your glyph's rank, you are guaranteed a rank upgrade.

Additionally, if you tackle a pit tier that significantly exceeds your glyph's current level, you will earn bonus upgrade ranks for each attempt.

Every time there is a 20-level gap between the completed pit tier and the glyph's rank, you receive an extra upgrade attempt. Let's illustrate how this works with an example:

Imagine you complete three Deathless Pit Tier 30 runs, which could elevate a glyph all the way to rank 19, thus unlocking an increase in radius size at a rapid pace:

First Run:- Attempt 1: Glyph rank rises from 1 to 3.- Attempt 2: Glyph rank advances from 3 to 5.- Attempt 3: Glyph rank progresses from 5 to 7.- Bonus Attempt 4: Glyph rank escalates from 7 to 9.

Second Run:- Attempt 1: Glyph rank climbs from 9 to 11.- Attempt 2: Glyph rank moves from 11 to 12.- Attempt 3: Glyph rank nudges from 12 to 13.- Bonus Attempt 4: Glyph rank increases from 13 to 14.

Third Run:- Attempt 1: Glyph rank maintains at 14 (radius size increase).- Attempt 2: Glyph rank enhances from 14 to 16.- Attempt 3: Glyph rank grows from 16 to 17.- Bonus Attempt 4: Glyph rank elevates from 17 to 18.

Notably, the maximum glyph level has been expanded from 21 to 100. Upon reaching level 45, players can upgrade a rare glyph to legendary status using gem fragments, which offers the following enhancements:- Radius size of the glyph increases from 4 to 5.- The glyph acquires an additional affix.

Paragon Boards Update

Each class now has access to a new paragon board. These boards feature a new legendary node alongside additional normal nodes to enhance the range of legendary glyphs. Adjustments have also been made to rare nodes, improving their overall utility.

Moreover, players can now equip up to 5 paragon boards, including the initial one. The total number of paragon points you can earn through leveling has been raised from 200 to 300, offering even more opportunities for character advancement.

Ancestral Items Overview

  • Ancestral items begin to appear once you reach Torment 1 difficulty.

  • These items consistently drop at the maximum item power of 800.

  • Only ancestral items feature greater affixes.

  • Each ancestral item guarantees at least one greater affix.

General Changes

  • Sacred items will no longer be obtainable. Any existing sacred items will be labeled as 'legacy,' allowing for continued use but not for upgrades.

  • Non-ancestral items are now limited to an item power of 750. Legendary items acquired at level 60 will always have this item power cap.

  • Items with an item power of 750 can be masterworked up to eight times.

  • In light of adjustments to character levels in the new realm-wide paragon system, items exceeding item power 540 will be modified to match this threshold. The affixes on these modified items will be rerolled to their highest potential values.

  • A new feature allows players to select a preferred waypoint for teleportation instead of being restricted to the nearest hub city waypoint. To set a favorite, simply hover over the waypoint icon on your map.

  • Access to the wardrobe is now made simpler through a dedicated button in the character menu, while town wardrobes remain as they are.

New Skills and Character Development

Martial experts in Sanctuary have refined their techniques to combat darkness, and it’s time for you to master these skills. Each skill introduces a fresh path for your class build.

Enhance your character with five new passive abilities tailored for each class. Additionally, we have introduced new connections within certain class skill trees, providing more options for unlocking these passives and offering greater flexibility during leveling.

As you venture forth and spill demon blood across Sanctuary, you’ll reap rewards from the season journey and battle pass.

The season journey is segmented into chapters filled with tasks. Completing these tasks yields rewards worthy of a Sanctuary defender, including a resplendent spark, the Shepard of Hollows mount trophy, and seething opals. The journey also grants favor, a resource essential for advancing through the tiers of the battle pass, easily earned through various game activities.
